Edgy and wild, Teal Steal emerges from blue-green velvet wreckage. Half fashion, half beast; it prowls in the shadows, searching for its own kind.
A Designer’s Thoughts
With an increasing desire to design and wear these Unrefined outfits, I became hungry for company. I wanted my events chaperon to match me in style. And so Teal Steal was born. Using my cousin as a live mannequin, I arranged scrap velvet fabric on him. It was a wonderful process because I knew exactly what it was going to look like on before it was sewn together.
The pants were made a while after the shirt’s completion.
